Learning Management System Consultant - up to 6 Month Contract

We are looking for a Learning Management System Consultant for a 6 month contract position with the potential for longer term engagements for the ideal candidate.

The Project: 

As LMS Consultant, you will help chart the path for the implementation of a new Learning Management System to be rolled across the entire global organization. The ideal candidate has skills to work with the training team and the implementation team to map out how best to optimize the system, building best practices on how to take a course from initial request and ideation through to the course roll out. The consultant will work closely with colleagues, managers and SME’s to determine the needs throughout the design process.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with subject matter experts, develop new and existing training processes
  • Leverage project management skills to manage the deliverables of the project
  • Lead project meetings and ensuring key milestones are met
  • Maintain the necessary project documentation and records
  • Proactively resolve project issue
  • You must be prepared to work in Mississauga, Ontario.

Skills:

  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Instructional Technologies, Education, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience working on a team to implement or administer a learning management systems.
  • 10+ years’ experience in instructional design and development and a strong understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Must have strong consultative skills, be very creative and agile, and possess excellent SME and stakeholder interviewing skills.
  • Must have the ability to build business process documentation
  • Must be have a particular talent for detail oriented tasks.
  • Must possess good project management skills.
  • Must be able to share excellent work samples during the interview process, if requested.

Flexible Details

  • Majority in-person meetings take place in Mississauga, Ontario
  • Up to 40 hours/week
